30 Funeral Director Facts
All funeral directors do important work. Beyond the stresses of dealing with death on a daily basis you may not realize all that they do for their clients. In the article, “30 Facts About Funeral Directors in Honor of National Funeral Directors Recognition Day”, Answering Service for Directors takes a look at many different aspects and truths about funeral directors.
On March 11, 2008, the United States congress passed a resolution designating March 11 as National Funeral Director and Recognition Day. On this day we support and realize the critical work that funeral professionals do. Their devotion to others is one of the many ways we should appreciate their work.
Out of the 30 facts specified in the article, this one caught my eye the most: “Funeral directors must carry themselves in a more dignified and solemn demeanor than most because they never know when they might be approached. However, most people don’t know that secretly, funeral professionals have a great sense of humor. While it may be necessary to maintain complete composure in the public eye, most directors do let loose and have fun when in the right setting. Dealing with death on a constant basis is and important reminder that life is too short not to stop and appreciate the humor when you can.”
We appreciate and recognize the hard work of all our AFN funeral providers and thank them for all that they do!
